myRutgers Portal Features New User-Friendly myDashboard
Rutgers recently launched myDashboard for faculty and staff in myRutgers portal. myDashboard provides integrated and personalized human resource and payroll information in an easy-to-view format that includes absence balances, expense updates, and more. The OneSource Faculty/Staff Service Center widget provides updates on important deadlines and pending cases. Student-related widgets will be available for employees who are also enrolled in classes. myDashboard includes direct links to applications, forms, and websites to assist you with getting information and performing tasks online. Log in to my.rutgers.edu to experience myDashboard.

Dance Performance Examines Beauty and Art
Mason Gross School of the Arts presents Palissimo Company in Custodians of Beauty on September 13 and 14. This evening-length work examines beauty and its intrinsic relationship with art. Created by Bessie and Guggenheim award-winning artist Pavel Zuštiak, founder and artistic director of Palissimo Company, the work features minimalist movement, sensuous abstraction, and potent stage imagery. K-Award Grant Writing Seminars
The Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research, New Jersey Alliance for Clinical and Translational Science, and Office of Vice Chancellor for Research are hosting grant writing workshops for faculty working on federal research grant applications. New Jersey Film Festival Fall 2019
Twenty-nine films will have New Jersey or area premieres during the New Jersey Film Festival from September 13 to October 13 at Voorhees Hall on the College Avenue Campus. The festival, sponsored by the Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center and the School of Arts and Sciences Cinema Studies program, showcases new international films, American independent features, animation, experimental and short subjects, and cutting-edge documentaries. Desert in the Promised Land: Nature, Settlement, and the Politics of Space
On September 12, Yael Zerubavel, Professor Emerita of Jewish Studies and History, will discuss her new book, Desert in the Promised Land, which explores the multiple meanings of the desert as both a geographic region in Israel and a symbolic landscape in Zionist and Israeli culture. Apply to be a Confidential Crisis Response Advocate
The Office for Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance is looking for volunteer confidential crisis response advocates to provide support at the time of a domestic violence or sexual assault crisis. Training will be held in October. Learn more and apply on the VPVA website. Applications are due September 27.
Call for Applications: Faculty Development Programs
